Take a look around your home.....
No, seriously, stop and take a look.
You notice those stacks of papers on the kitchen counter, the pile of magazines
on the coffee table, the mountain of books thrown on your shelf, the box of VHS tapes in the corner, and the toys your children are too old for or no longer use???
It's time to let that go!

Most of the clutter in our homes are from items we no longer have use for, hesitant to give away because of how much we paid for it, a gift that just doesn't seem right to give away, or "memories" we don't want to part with.
Let’s just rip the bandaid off......
Let's begin with tackling that overwhelming stack of papers and old mail.
I was one to keep every bill to keep track of payment dates and confirmation numbers. I was determined that the companies
would never be able to trip me up on not making a payment. I mean, I do have my confirmation number from 2019 on hand.
Tips:
1. Go paperless & use apps. (They still send those confirmations)
2. Keep a bin with tabs for each category. After 3-6 months, SHRED IT! This will contain everything to ONE bin and your
clutter has just been CONTAINED & CATEGORIZED.
The ONLY way Tip #2 will work is if you actually put the items away.
I'm getting long winded, but let me just address that demon insisting you keep those sales papers and magazines that you will
NEVER USE and NEVER READ. Whewwww, we gotta (yes, gotta) choose Jesus and throw them awayyyyy. That coupon has expired!

You bought "that" yearssss ago! Can we agree you got your money's worth? Some of your first designer purses or those shoes you caught at the Dillard's annual sale, is still stuffed at the back of your closet. When is the last time you've carried that purse or worn those shoes? You don't have to respond this time, I already know the answer. :)
It may be easier to let go of it if you look at it this way, someone else most likely needs or would get more use out of this item.
When it's time for me to declutter and part with some items that may be a little tuff, I look at it as I'm blessing someone.

If we kept every mug, keychain, secret Santa gift, or airport t-shirt, the guest room would be covered in mounds of gift bags. It would be rude to just throw it away, right? Try regifting or donating. Just like that, you've gotten it out your house, but it was given a purpose.

There are children waiting to receive that toy your child has outgrown or maybe a collector somewhere on Craigslist that will pay you good money for those classic VHS tapes.

Now, the one that's difficult for almost everyone, MEMORIES. I mean, how does anyone expect us to part with the last thing we remember Grandpa giving us? Objects can hold sentimental value when attached to an important event. It will never be my advice to just let it go! With memories we have options. You can:
1. Pass it on to a family member.
2. Find ways to CONTAIN & CATEGORIZE.
How? Divide items into categories, pick out the things that are just absolutely necessary to keep, go out and purchase bins. Label and store them on the shelves in the garage, under the guest room bed, or at the back of an extra closet.
The best way to sum this all up? You are holding on to clothing, that you will never fit into again (I told you I was ripping the bandaid off), that someone actually needs. There's a single parent someone praying that she will be able to purchase her child that toy that your child no longer picks up. A family member wishing they had something tangible from Granny.
And let's be honest, a kitchen counter praying you take the extra weight off.
WOW, you're getting ready to be a HUGE BLESSING!
Position yourself…..
